Before game 1 of the World Series, we researched our options on how to watch our beloved Red Sox play. We knew this year was special and no matter the outcome, we wanted to be there until the end. We found MLB TV and were excited they had an international package. We were even more excited that it only cost $3.99 – a steal in our eyes!!
We had plans to stay up late and watch the games on Boston time, but sadly we could not make it. We did purchase a few items to help us feel like we were at the ballpark!
We took a lot of screen shots during the game of our favorite moments. But nothing could top the moment they won the World Series! We both had tears in our eyes and longed to share that moment with our friends in Boston! It was an amazing moment and I’m so glad we were able to experience it here. Thanks also to Cherie for sending us a copy of Thursday’s Boston Globe! She’s our hero!!
This week was not just about baseball. I found an American Food Store in Notting Hill! The store itself is probably the size of our living room and sells nothing but American food. It was nice to pick up a few things.
We ended our week celebrating Halloween and the Red Sox win by going back to The Thatched House. It’s a great little Pub not far from our house. They were having Halloween themed drinks and I had to try the Witches’ Brew!
After my brew (and a few pints) we enjoyed one of our traditions after attending a game at Fenway: singing Dirty Water by The Standells. The song is traditionally played at Fenway following a Red Sox Win. Even though we live in London, Boston will always be our home!
