This week we conquered week 4!!
It was really tough as we stepped it up running for 5 minutes total. Here’s the workout for this week: begin with a brisk 5-minute walk, then 3 minutes of running, 90 seconds of walking, 5 minutes of running, 2½ minutes of walking, 3 minutes of running, 90 seconds of walking, 5 minutes of running.
Day 1 started off great – I made it through all of the runs with no issues. It was a beautiful day in the park and it looks like one of the local kiddos left us a game to play.
Day 2 I had to get up earlier than usual (before the sun came up!!) to run since it was my first day at my part time job. If you would have asked me six months ago to get up early to run before work, I would have laughed in your face. I am not a morning work out person, but somehow over the last four weeks I have started to appreciate it. There is something to be said about getting your work out done at the beginning of the day!
Since we changed our days this week, day 3 fell on a Saturday. Since we normally finish the week on Friday, it felt really strange to wake up on Saturday morning and run since it’s normally a sleep in day. It was slow moving to get up, but once we were out the door it felt like any other day. This run felt more easier somehow, like maybe I’m starting to get the hang of this running thing. I felt like we finished the week strong and even managed to take a few pics of Nadia on the way out of the park! I promised her earlier in the week no creepy pics of her running, but I couldn’t help myself! 🙂
